To tell the truth, I didn't want to do a wedding in Hell. I had never officiated one there before, and I didn't think it was a good idea. However, this is what this Cincinatti, OH bride wanted, and when I met her I could see she was a free spirit with a mind of her own, and a groom who doted on her.
"Hell" is jagged limestone rock caused by natural chemical weathering. You can also get your post-cards and letters post marked "Hell" Cayman Islands.
Everything went well, and we used the less-touristy boardwalk behind the Post Office, which was big enough for a group this size.
The bride eschewed the traditional bridal bouquet, and chose instead a wired arrangement which snaked up her arm, and showed off her ring and her turquoise nail polish.
I don't think any of those in attendance will forget this highly original couple, or unusual wedding ceremony for a long time. Yes, I have also agreed to another "Wedding in Hell" this November.
